Too many traders are obsessed with gaming the prop firm system instead of actually becoming better traders. It's the equivalent of wanting to be a business owner and obsessing over how to structure your LLC but forgetting that you actually need to run a profitable business in the first place.
Got my first payout with @Topstep today ever since starting with prop firms back in April. It's real now that the deposit hit ๐.
Great experience with Topstep so far. No issues with trade execution, quick 1 day compliance review, and immediate deposit with AeroPay.
@Basssem666 Scenario 5 is continuing to grind up without a pullback - the same thing that happened after the tariff crash. We never backtested the Feb 2025 highs after reclaiming and just kept grinding up for months.
Clean day today. At 9:05am CT, I recognized the flag into support to go scalp multiple longs. Knowing the intention of the market goes a long way.

Same thing everyday.
Got the vwap short entry multiple times today for downside scalps. Unfortunately no flushes but the structure was clean for ~10pt scalps.
This is how I stay fluid in my bias. The setup today looked bearish but I was able to spot the flag > breakout > long into new ATH.
Certain conditions needed to be met in order to short and that kept me out of the wrong side of the trade.
Almost went on tilt today trying to BTD at 7085 SPX before the capitulatory move to 7045 SPX, but I got lucky and it worked out.
Lesson learned is to wait for a high volume capitulatory candle first before entering and I would've been in a lot less drawdown.
Today was very clearly a chop/consolidation day. That changes the types of setups to play today. Set smaller targets, play the extremes, and keep it tight.

Slow and steady wins the race. Started with some long scalps in the opening drive and flipped to short scalps once we lost 7105 SPX pivot.
Remain bearish for the rest of the day IMO. Short the pops instead of trying longs. Best short will be a retest of 7110 SPX.

Honestly disappointed in my performance today. Kept trying to short the highs and covering quickly when the path of least resistance was just to buy any red candle and hold (same formula the past week).
Traveling in Japan rn so haven't been actively trading but had to take a couple of downside scalps today since the setup looked good. Have to say this market is resilient though and I missed 3 days of insane follow through earlier this week.
