Meet dotCMS: Leading Universal CMS for developers and content teams.
Simplify content creation and delivery to save costs and grow revenue. dotCMS goes beyond headless, allowing developers and content teams to consolidate digital experiences across channels.
dotDEV June is out.
Java 25 is in. Page Health catches WCAG and GEO issues before you publish. Real-Time Canvas cuts edit time from 45s to under 8. Plus the 2026 roadmap update and three pieces on Angular + dotCMS enterprise architecture.
Dive right in!👇

Enterprise Angular projects need two things: developer control over the front end, and governed content operations behind it.
The dotCMS Angular SDK handles both. Here's how the architecture works.

AI may not care about your compliance requirements, which is why your CMS should.
In Episode 14 of 'Real Talk, Real Trust with dotCMS', Freddy Montes (VP Product, dotCMS) breaks down why governance is not optional when you're building AI content workflows for healthcare, finance, or government, and how dotCMS already has the guardrails built in through workflows and audit trails.

When was the last time a customer experienced your brand exactly the way you intended it?
Customers experience your brand as one thing. When the pieces don't connect, they feel it, even when they can't say why.
Integrated brand experience is not only about brand guidelines but also about the infrastructure that makes consistency enforceable: approval workflows, governed content, and a platform that does the policing so your team doesn't have to.
We wrote the guide that covers everything about brand experiences: https://t.co/erYL7sTGIm

At enterprise scale, asset chaos becomes a compliance risk.
Hundreds of teams. Multiple regions. Dozens of channels. Every piece of content needs to be approved, current, and traceable — before it goes anywhere.
Digital Asset Management gives compliance-led organizations a governed, centralized library where every asset is tagged, versioned, and distributed through controlled workflows. The right content reaches the right channel, every time.
Upload. Tag. Manage. Distribute. At any scale.

Show up when it matters. Keep showing up when it matters.
That's the difference between being chosen and being forgotten.
In this clip, Jessica Holton (CEO, Ours Privacy) explains why a single well-timed touchpoint isn't a relationship and what continuous presence actually requires.

Team dotCMS had a great day at the IDC CIO Summit in New York, hosted by IDC US Events. This year's theme, the Rise of Agentic Systems, set the tone for every conversation on the floor. Proud to have sponsored, and even prouder to see our VP of Marketing, Inna Bosenko, take the stage.
Inna opened with a stat IDC itself put on the table: by 2026, GenAI and automation will drive $1 trillion in global workforce productivity gains. Her question to the room - if agentic systems are the engine, which team should see those gains first?
Her answer: the Digital Experience team. The people building, managing, and marketing digital products now account for 18–25% of headcount and up to 30% of payroll in service-based industries. That makes them the single highest-leverage place for AI to land, but only if it lands in a way that doesn't dilute the brand, erode trust, or expose risk.
That's the bet we're making at dotCMS: AI-driven accessibility, brand governance, and personalization, built into a visual headless CMS that compliance-led organizations can actually trust at scale.
Thanks to IDC for a sharp, well-run event, and to every CIO who stopped by the booth!

🟣 New in dotCMS: Page Health.
Two scanners inside the Universal Visual Editor — Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) + GEO (AI readiness score). Both catch what your CMS can't see, before publish.
Included. No extra cost.

Can your marketing team publish content in 24 hours, or are you stuck waiting on an IT ticket?
That's the first of four questions Zain Ishaq, CEO of dotCMS, says every leader should ask about their content operations.
In this clip from Episode 15 of Real Talk, Real Trust, Zain lays out the self-audit:
- Can marketing publish in 24 hours, or does it need an IT ticket?
- Do you have a single source of truth or is content fragmented across systems?
- Can you publish the same content across web, mobile, and every other channel?
- Do you have a documented workflow that's actually enforced?
If you answered "no" to any of the above, you already know where the work is.

AI assistants are easy. AI agents are an architecture problem.
When an autonomous agent needs to publish across 40 sites, respect role-based permissions, and trigger the right workflow, most CMSs hit a wall.
Closed APIs. No machine-readable content models. No governance layer agents can call into.
That's the gap dotCMS is building for.

May edition of dotDEV out now!
April was a plumbing month at dotCMS: visual UI for the Content Style Editor, sharper Content Editor refinements, image wrapping in the Block Editor, GraphQL responses that finally tell you what went wrong.
Inside this month:
🟣 A new 4-part headless series from our DevRel Afaq Javed (Zero to Launch, build a portfolio site with dotCMS + Next.js, end to end)
🟣Marc Boutillette on what "agent-ready" actually means at the architecture layer and why most "AI-ready" claims don't survive contact with an autonomous agent

Headless doesn’t have to feel complicated.
In this tutorial, Afaq Javed, our Developer Relations lead, walks through how to set up a local dotCMS instance with Docker, clone the official Next.js headless starter kit, and connect your frontend using API tokens and environment variables.
By the end, you’ll have a working Next.js app powered by dotCMS, so content updates can happen in the CMS without hardcoding changes or redeploying your site.

The DXP vs CMS decision shapes marketing speed, developer productivity, governance, and TCO.
For enterprises already invested in CRM, CDP, analytics, and commerce, the smart middle ground is often an enterprise CMS that integrates with the stack you already trust, not a full suite that forces you to replace it.
Jason Smith, Co-founder & Head of Customer Experience at dotCMS, breaks down where each option fits, and where it breaks, across seven criteria that actually matter to enterprise buyers.

The digital experience is the first and only impression a patient gets before they ever set foot in your office. If any part of it —the form, the page load, the voice—misses, the patient is already looking at the next option.
In episode 15 of #RealTalkRealTrust, join Jessica Holton, co-founder & CEO of Ours Privacy, unpack what's actually breaking in healthcare marketing right now, from content debt to small teams tasked with shipping personalized, compliant experiences at scale.

Small teams. Hundreds of sites. HIPAA compliance. Welcome to healthcare marketing.
That's the reality Ryan Picchini (CRO, dotCMS), Zain Ishaq (CEO, dotCMS), and Jessica Holton (co-founder & CEO, Ours Privacy) unpack in Episode 15 of 'Real Talk, Real Trust with dotCMS'.
The conversation dives into what's actually breaking for healthcare marketing teams right now. Web content is going stale faster than small teams can review it. The marketing tools teams actually need (analytics, A/B testing, attribution) quietly break HIPAA. And a single marketing team is often stuck running 50+ hospital sites where every edit routes through IT.
If you run web, content, or marketing at a compliance-led healthcare org, hit play and steal 3 ideas you can use this week.

Don't be afraid of AI in content creation.
Jason Smith, CXO and Co-founder of dotCMS, emphasizes that AI prioritizes content with accuracy, authority, and verifiability.
Ensure your content cites real sources, links to research, and stands on solid ground. AI is a tool, not a replacement. Focus on credibility to make your content stand out.
Explore these insights in Episode 14 of "Real Talk, Real Trust with dotCMS" on YouTube, Apple Podcast, and Spotify.

We shipped four new plugins in Q1 that connect dotCMS to tools your teams already use:
1. Google Analytics: Query GA4 dimensions and metrics directly from your CMS. Filter by date range, surface engagement data in templates or headless endpoints.
2. Shopify: Pull product and collection data from the Storefront API into dotCMS pages. Auto-creates content types, supports GraphQL, and works across templates and REST.
3. AWS Rekognition: Auto-tag images the moment content enters a workflow. Objects, scenes, and attributes are written to your tag fields automatically.
4. Google Translate: Translate content into every configured language with a single workflow action. No middleware, no third-party connectors.

Q1 Product Releases - Day 2: For developers
Two things that used to slow down headless CMS adoption:
1. Setting up the project: wiring up auth, spinning up a local CMS, scaffolding the frontend, and installing dependencies. The Create App CLI handles all of it in one command: npx @dotcms/create-app demo. Next.js frontend, Docker CMS instance, API tokens, demo content, UVE. Ready to build.
2. Adding AI search used to mean hand-rolling REST integrations for every project. dotAI Search in the SDK reduces that to https://t.co/5j01h7JiNu(). One method call, semantic search across content and PDFs, under 15 minutes from zero to working.
Both are available now for Evergreen customers.

Q1 Product Releases - Day 1: For content teams
Two releases put more control directly in the hands of content teams without adding complexity for developers.
- The Content Style Editor lets authors manage typography, layout, and background styling right inside the Universal Visual Editor. Changes that previously required a dev ticket now happen in real time.
- The redesigned Content Palette replaces the old scrollable list with a tabbed, paginated workspace, complete with favorites. It's built for environments managing hundreds of content types across multiple sites.
Our goal was to give speed to content teams while maintaining architectural integrity for developers.
