@stnluu Fix is deployed and rolled out on macOS. Stupid copy+paste error confirmed. 😅 Working on Linux build now, and will deploy fix to Windows later (don't have that machine on me atm). Thanks again!
@stnluu Welp. Not great. Sorry. Will fix and update you when there's a new release avail. Probably a dumb typo so should be quick. Thanks for the notice.
Happy #dotnetconf day! DotPurple 1.11, released last month, supports .NET 8, decreased app size, increased performance, and has updates to the macOS notarization process. Oh, and unlimited trial licenses while our store is down! Enjoy .NET 8 today, everybody! #dotpurple#dotnet
While we wait for our storefront to be re-enabled, we're working on some updates to the app: In the next update on macOS, you'll be able to use `notarytool` for macOS instead of the soon-deprecated `altool`, which results in faster notarization and less code.
Our storefront is down due to it being disabled by our vendor (no clue why, have filed a support case). Please let us know at [email protected] if you have any issues/questions/concerns/alternate speeches. We'll get it up as soon as we can. Thanks!
@samafshari@MikeCodesDotNET Ah great...@FastSpring disabled our storefront without notifying us. I had no clue (we weren't notified it was disabled!) and have filed a support case. I'm going to DM you both keys for free. Very sorry for the hassle but thank you for letting me know. :\
@samafshari@MikeCodesDotNET I'll note ahead of time that our method of notarization does require Xcode, which I believe technically isn't required anymore? (We haven't updated it since we don't want to fix what isn't broken. May need to anyway with altool going away in November, IIRC.)
@samafshari@MikeCodesDotNET Hi, our .NET app (written in Avalonia) can help with this! If your app is .NET can even build/publish and notarize in 1 click. See also: https://t.co/tZeXqhzspl Let me know if you want more info (incl. a temp key to try it out...?)

DotPurple is now compatible with .NET 7! We also upgraded to run on @dotnet 7 and @AvaloniaUI 11 (preview 4) on macOS/Linux. The Avalonia 0.10 -> 11 upgrade was easy; you should try it if you haven't already. Enjoy building your apps! #dotpurple#dotnet#dotnetcore#avaloniaui
AvaloniaUI is what DotPurple on macOS and Linux is built on. It only took us about 3 hours to upgrade to .NET 6 and Avalonia 11 from about halfway between 11 and the previous stable version. If you haven't tried it yet, go for it! It's the best desktop UI framework out there.
Episode 95 of the #dotnet core podcast is a conversation with @dwuk86 of @AvaloniaUI about the modern MVVM compatible UI framework which is truly cross platform - including Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, Linuxes, and now (experimentally) the web.
