Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia presented the achievements and future vision of BharatNet in Parliament, outlining the roadmap for a nationwide broadband highway under the ₹1.40 lakh crore Amended BharatNet scheme.
With nearly 7 lakh km of optical fibre laid and a target of 1.5 crore FTTH connections, the initiative is strengthening rural connectivity, employment, and entrepreneurship across India.

India Achieves Major Success at WTDC-25, Azerbaijan

The Indian delegation led by Hon’ble MoS Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani delivered landmark outcomes: India presented its High-Level Policy Statement, lead key leadership positions like WTDC Vice-Chair, APT Coordination Chair & Ad-hoc Group Chair. Secured two ITU-D Study Group Vice-Chair positions, steered adoption of 19 APT Common Proposals, held 11 ministerial bilaterals, engaged 50+ countries, introduced India’s candidate Ms. M. Revathi for Director, BR, showcased indigenous C-DOT technologies, contributed to HoD deliberations, and hosted a high-level Networking Reception advancing India’s ITU leadership aspirations.
