@adotwill I agree, generally speaking. But it is a nice reminder that tone matters in email. I’m a broker so I get it - broker probably gets a ton of unqualified inbound messages. But always use a friendly tone even if it means typing an extra sentence or adding “friendly” words.
@sweatystartup My wife’s boyfriend needs to start following you. I can’t say anything to him bc he will take away my Xbox privileges. But also he needs to provide more for my family.
@creromans Specialize in value-add deals. Specifically value-add deals that are deeply distressed or need a lot of renovations/rehab. Assuming he has a ton of knowledge about construction projects, he can provide a lot of value to clients in that arena.
@Biblicalman My wife was in the kitchen. I was in the recliner. My son saw both. I grunted “football on. Women in kitchen. Men watch football.” And then he sat in my lap and yelled at the wife for a cold beer. If I wasn’t so manly, I would’ve cried tears of joy.
@Storage_Venture@SocraticBloke The market isn’t necessarily what you say or think it is. The deal pencils for you at $1.2m. What if the deal pencils for 5 other groups at $1.4m? I’d argue you’re below market. It’s all hypothetical, but point remains.
@Gotnotime20@MaxArmand Serious real estate investors have a pretty good idea what their property is worth. If a broker (assuming the broker has done their homework) has to tell an owner their property is worth much less than the owner thinks then I’d say that’s not a serious real estate investor
@CoyDavidsonCRE Open air office space so you can smoke cigs at your desk. Turn all vending machines into cigarette vending machines. That open space that used to be a fairway? An employee battle ground for employees that have a grudge against one another.
@patcarino@seanpatward Admits too lazy to look up info. Rags broker for not telling him the information that he was too lazy to look up. If it was relevant, then ya would’ve looked it up after the call. But yeah rag the broker. Good good.
@resetbasis My team and I have been telling people “this is the price in the market today, if you like it great. If not, don’t sell unless you have to.” And from what I’m hearing a lot of other brokers are taking the same approach. Maybe different markets, but less “BS” out there.
@StudentRentPro I can already see the back area jammed pack with a DJ on the balcony and a two story beer bong. That house is going to have an all-time day party the first weekend of nice weather in the spring.
@jasonjosephlee It’s the broker, not the company.
Is your buyer credible? Anyone can submit an offer. If the buyer isn’t in the listing agents database then I’m assuming they don’t own in the market. Have you shown proof of funds? Buyers schedule of real estate?
