Now that @EnesFreedom announced he’s a woman & entering the draft @wnba has three options, all bad for them. 1. Deny he’s a woman. (Which means they know what a woman is.) 2. Admit men to league. 3. Announce only those born as women are eligible. Which path? Checkmate.
🚨 Former NBA player and GOP Senate candidate Royce White says he plans to declare for the 2027 WNBA Draft, claiming he now identifies as transgender for the purpose of professional basketball.
White says he reviewed the league’s eligibility rules and argues that if self-identification is enough, he qualifies to compete. He also says he’ll pursue legal action if the WNBA blocks him from playing.
I’m going to go out in a limb here and predict Enes breaks every record in the WNBA in year one. She truly is going to make a spectacular women’s basketball player.
I haven't even been publicly trans for 72 hours and I'm already getting so much hate.
I just want to hoop with my girls in my feminine era! Why can't y'all be happy for me? 💅🏽
EXCLUSIVE: Former NBA first-round pick Royce White says he's declaring for the 2027 WNBA Draft, claiming he now identifies as transgender for the purpose of playing professional basketball.
The 6-foot-8 former Houston Rockets draft pick follows fellow former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom, who announced his own plans to declare amid the growing debate over transgender athletes in women's sports.
White told Fox News Digital he believes he'd be "unstoppable" in the WNBA and suggested he could pursue legal action if denied an opportunity to play.
White said the move is meant to challenge the WNBA to clearly define its eligibility rules for transgender athletes, saying: "I'd like to know what the parameters are."
Charles Barkley says pickleball is destroying retirees’ bodies while everyone thinks it’s the safe alternative to real sports
Barkley: “There’s not a lot you can do when you get old. That’s something you two gonna be able to do when he gets older, you can’t go play basketball.”
“And let me tell you something. They got this stupid thing going around called pickleball, which is the way old people out here are getting hurt all the time.”
“My doctor friends said pickleball is the gift that keeps giving. Because all these old people are killing themselves and hurt all the time. My doctor friends are in heaven right now. Pickleball is the gift that keeps giving.”
Kittle: “It’s so dangerous. I know multiple people who’ve fallen, torn their UCL, fractured their wrist, ACL, Achilles. I am never stepping on that damn court.”
“I’ll be golfing and I’ll be in the swimming pool. That’s all I need…”
Barkley: There’s a reason people quit playing sports, because their body gives out. What makes you think when you get older you’re going to be out there… shuffling back and forth, diving and lunging?”
“My doctor friends call it the gold mine that keeps giving.”
I’m tired of saying this.
The Dodgers aren't what's wrong with baseball.
They draft well. They develop talent. They spend because they generate revenue, and they reinvest it into winning. That's what every fanbase says it wants its ownership to do…..
If your frustration is with the sport's economics, payroll structure, or owners unwilling to spend, that's a different conversation. But don't blame the team that's simply maximizing EVERY advantage WITHIN THE RULES!
Great coaches don't force generational talent into a system—they build the system around it. Lisa Bluder understood that. You don't hand Picasso a paint-by-numbers kit. You give him a canvas and let genius create.
Bluder recognized genius, and got out of its way. She realized she had a once in a generation player and said, "Go be you" and the result was history .
It is amazing that @CaitlinClark22 who has brought so much publicity for the @WNBA has to take so much abuse from many of those that she has helped financially since her arrival .The physical pounding she takes is totally UNACCEPTABLE! https://t.co/PdJO1xl773
Never has a photo so completely encapsulated the total and complete failure of the @wnba’s leadership.
Never in the history of sports has a golden goose been so deliberately squandered.
