Today we say farewell to @NEADSdogs Candy. For her last day of training with us we visited Tougas Farm with her BFF Dusty. Good luck to her as she moves on to assist her forever friend!
@NEADSdogs Candy spent the day in Boston, riding cars, trains and ferrys. Lots of traffic work, historic sights and crowds. Of course, she did fantastic!
@NEADSdogs Candy “won” the @bogironbrewing 0.0K today at #FrancisFarm in Rehoboth. Along with fellow pup Dusty, she stood for charity and took home the gold!
@NEADSdogs Candy practices her sit/stay while she supervises the planting of a new tree, courtesy of @MHShornets Tree Plenish program. Candy’s very excited, because of course it’s a dogwood!
One important part of a service dog’s training is listening and following instructions. Here, @NEADSdogs Candy gets her blocking assignment as she enjoys the @Patriots Hall of Fame.
@NEADSdogs Heidi and Franklin visited the big metal dogs in Charlestown, MA today. Their favorite (of course) was Rescue. Subway and boat rides tired out these two, but lots of good practice for the future
Heidi enjoyed Wickford,RI today, relaxing by the water and touring historic houses. Very hot, but she was thankful for all the stores’ water bowls. @NEADSdogs
Heidi got to meet @Patriots newcomer @Danny_Shelton55 this weekend and told him about all the good things @NEADSdogs does. She also met two members of his wonderful dog family!
Heidi visited The Memorial Day Flag Garden on Boston Common. She hopes one day she might help a service veteran or soldier @NEADSdogs#massmilitaryheroes
@NEADSdogs in training Franklin and Heidi were inspired by meeting @rescueboston and his family today. They cant wait to make a life changing friendship with someone too!
