@ReturnofR I can't give you the greatest band from the 1970's but I can give you my favourites. The Who, Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boston, & The Jam, who's 4 albums from the 70's are a very good snap shot of life in late 70's Britain.
