Yes, mainstream media does cover up for Israel’s crimes against Palestinians. That’s why we must keep amplifying firsthand reporting from Gaza.
Today, I shared a summary of Israeli attacks that killed eight people. It barely got any attention.
What are people waiting for? Another horrifying video of a child watching their mother burn alive? When the video of Mariam Ghanem emerged, nearly every page shared her story. Yet several children have been killed since, with barely any coverage.
Why must Palestinian suffering reach unimaginable levels of horror before it gets attention? Isn’t that the very pattern we criticize mainstream media for?
Palestinians should not have to die in the most horrific ways for their lives to matter.
Please keep amplifying news from Gaza, whether it’s a home blown up in northern Gaza, a child shot in the foot, or a family burned alive at night.
"‘Gaza’s suffering has become campaign fodder’: Palestinians fear the worst from Israel election. Humanitarian catastrophe largely ignored as rivals Gadi Eisenkot and Benjamin Netanyahu vow to end Hamas rule"

Are there ANY candidates in the upcoming Israeli elections who DON'T want to murder Palestinians and steal their land?
It would appear that every single candidate supports genocide. It's not just Netanyahu.

Lula: "What is happening in Gaza to the Palestinian people has no parallel in history. Actually, it did when Hitler decided to kill the Jews. Who is going to rebuild the destroyed homes? Who is going to give life back to the children killed, without knowing why they were dying?"
I still cannot believe UK Lawyers for Israel pressured Chelsea and Westminster Hospital to remove artwork created by Palestinian children in Gaza.
Shame on the NHS for allowing it.
Their artwork was not a threat.
Imagine, adults bullying children. Revolting really.

Can you imagine what it feels like to receive a phone call from someone threatening to kill you, saying: “Do you want to die alone, or do you want you and your family to die together?
This is what we have been experiencing in Gaza recently at the hands of the Israeli occupation, before families are targeted and killed. Terrifying threats that leave a person facing two choices, each more painful than the other: to face death alone, or to put their family’s lives at risk alongside their own. 💔😭
I've been revisiting @UKLabour's 2024 manifesto, and some of the commitments are extraordinary given where we are today...
- Defend the international rule of law.
- Uphold international law in Gaza.
- Recognise Palestinian statehood as an inalienable right.
- Reject new oil and gas exploration because it worsens the climate crisis.
These weren't demands from protesters.
THEY WERE LABOUR'S OWN PROMISES!
The government shouldn't need reminding what the principles are. It already wrote them down and commited to them!
The question is why those principles become negotiable the moment defending them carries a political cost.
