Many congratulations to the 25 @downsideschool pupils who took part in the #UKMT Senior Maths Challenge two weeks ago. Results came out today. Many congratulations to our pupils who were awarded four gold certificates, five silver and eleven bronze!
Blaise Pascal was a prodigy who by the age of ten was experimenting in mathematics and science. He became caught up in issues of religion and philosophy, becoming one of the first people to seriously address the kind of atheism we hear today.

After a six month online-only presence, the Mathematics dept @downsideschool are excited to begin *teaching and learning* in person again this week, albeit in year group bubbles around our beloved school. The return to the hallowed Mathematics corridor will have to wait!

After 33 days of walking, Mr Patey has finally arrived to Santiago de Compostela. The famous Camino Francés (French Way) is over 770km long and traverses Northern Spain. We cannot wait to hear your adventures once you are back in Downside!
