Found this lady in the forest today. Being out in the daytime and not fleeing when the human showed up are both bad signs. Within an hour the rescuers from Bonorong arrived and whisked her off for a checkup. @BonorongTAS

Phoenix is a beautiful 16 month old Black ewe. She has her first lamb, a ram, who is eight days old and doing really well.

If you want to breed coloured sheep she is a great choice as she has homogenous black genes, so she will never have a white lamb if she is...

... in the last two generations. The mothers of the triplets had no trouble feeding all three lambs. I have bred four generations of her forebears and none have ever had the slightest bit of trouble lambing.
