In August of last year, City Council voted to initiate the development of a draft district plan. Since that moment, there has been an unprecedented public engagement effort. Community meetings. Small group interviews. Walk Shops. Office hours. Pop-up events. Surveys.

That chorus of voices – which is chronicled in over 70 pages of community engagement summaries online – offered a number of recurring themes. Perhaps the most consistent was this: People want more from their downtown.
