@CMicrocaps@FredWoollard Have a chat to @cameronreilly about his friend and investing mentor, Tony Kynaston. From memory TK is in the 16-19% range dating back to the early 2000’s. TK is an old fuddy duddy type investor so I doubt he has Twitter (that’s a compliment btw).
@OwenRask Talk to me about ProMedicus. I’ve sat on the sidelines since $9.50 because I was trying to be disciplined with valuation. I’m sold on the quality of the company and management but can never make the SP make sense.
SaaS health company Respiri was cap in hand in front of investors on Wednesday morning, as it gears up to launch its flagship asthma management product. https://t.co/sBxBythmvq
@michaelfrazis@OwenRask The timeline for that is in your wheelhouse; best case 18 months? Or am I underestimating the world’s collective scientific mind?
@michaelfrazis@OwenRask Given how contagious it appears to be I’m not sure how we can relax the current restrictions without opening ourselves up to a second spike. Is it not better to over do it the first time to ensure we prevent a second?
@bensnotions That is fair. My underlying point I guess is that science should never be measured against its ability to answer the ‘why’. It does not and never will be able to answer that question.
@bensnotions It’s limited if you ask of it the wrong questions. For example, it will never be able to answer the ‘why’ just as religion can rarely answer the ‘how’ as well as science does. Importantly, Christianity doesn’t feel the need to update its ‘textbook’.
@medje350 Hey mate, one for the podcast. I was wondering if you could shed any light on the NZ Commerce Commission’s continual delay for the $SMP / Verifone deal. Do they have form taking this long to clear an acquisition?
@DHughesy@Noof23@hughesywhap Perhaps you could apply the same logic to the Government of the day or the Chief Medical Officer. Things move pretty quickly yeah?
@SeanRapley@claudedwalker And there lies my biggest current unknown. There are significant macro trends both for and against this business model. I initially raised the question with Claude as I feel that $PPH will sustain a small downgrade over the short term vice considerable and medium term.
@SeanRapley@claudedwalker Perhaps I have underestimated the number of people in society that have regularly variable income and thus 10% looks very different to them each week. Could this not be offset by situational offerings in direct response to COVID?
