@StatisticUrban I’m actually dumbfounded that you believe this.
I know you are unabashedly partisan but there is 0 reason to like Starmer besides the fact he is a Labour PM. Even Labour’s voters want him gone 2 to 1.
@StatisticUrban Starmer ruled so incompetently he doubled the Reform UK vote share and together with Truss they killed the oldest continuously existing political party in the world.
There is no reality where he is the best PM of the past 15 years.
@stanfordNYC@CitedNeed Trump erred by compromising with the anti-war faction. He wasted time positioning troops in the middle of destabilizing protests wracking Iran.
He proceeded to compromise again when he refused to authorize the transfer of weaponry to potential combatants (Kurds, Sunnis, etc.)
@stanfordNYC@CitedNeed I disagree with you here.
Last time the Venezuelans had democracy they elected a dictator. The goverment is fragile and lacks control over the army. Regime change leads to civil war.
Iran is a centralized state with an ideologically rigid ruling class. Regime change is best.
@captgouda24 Anthropic has been calling for AI regulation for years and then hyped up this model by calling it the most dangerous model ever created.
And now they’re acting shocked they’re getting regulated.
@stanfordNYC I’ll grant you that this specific election is unlikely to be stolen, but California’s electoral process is designed so poorly that massive election fraud is inevitable.
@tracewoodgrains I’m sure some pro-eugenic racists hold the latter view. Opposition to contaminating what they view as perfect gene pool, while simultaneously supporting abortion to prune the “imperfections”.
Would make for a fantastic article/interview.
@alexbronzini@mehdirhasan@MollyJongFast Hasan: Hungary does not have any viable center left parties
Hasan two minutes later: the center moves and the right decides where it is.
@StatisticUrban Journalists and “elites” are going to place more weight on the job market within desirable sectors, shifting public opinion negatively.
Additionally, anyone within the orbit of a college graduate will be more pessimistic because popular majors aren’t placing like they used to.
@StatisticUrban Most hiring is not for high-quality positions and is centered in sectors like healthcare that are undesirable to large segments of the workforce.
Sectors that drive public perception of the job market, like tech and finance, are not hiring.
@Wolfgang18842 You’re acting like his goverment forced him to attack a dozen times.
He could have just held on the frontline but instead he depleted his troops in over a dozen battles and then was nearly knocked out of the war by a German counter attack.
@alexbronzini Massie is far more popular than the average Republican.
This election proved that 55% of the Republican base will vote against someone they loved and voted for enthusiastically one cycle ago.
@arctotherium42 No successful communist leader has ever followed Marx’s prescriptions.
Mao copied Lenin’s strategy, with help from the Soviets, but modified it slightly to account for the higher population of peasants.
