Don’t let social media misinformation put your skin at risk!
Dangerous tanning trends like sun contouring, DIY sunscreens and burn art continue to spread online, despite the very real risks of UV exposure. Misinformation about sun protection can lead to harmful habits that increase your risk of skin cancer.
Over the past decade, the number of new invasive melanoma cases diagnosed each year has increased by 46.6%, and your risk of melanoma doubles after five or more sunburns.
Before you follow a viral trend, make sure the information comes from a trusted source. Protect your skin, stay informed and help stop the spread of dangerous sun myths.

☀️ Did You Know?
Your skin remembers every sunburn.
UV damage builds up over time, and even one blistering sunburn can increase your risk of developing skin cancer later in life.
The good news? It's never too late to start protecting your skin. Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and reapply every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating. Complete your sun protection with UV-blocking sunglasses, UPF-rated clothing and shade whenever possible.
Small habits today can make a big difference tomorrow.
