Always move forward because the minute you stop you have given up. Strive everyday to be better and more successful than you were the day before. Liverpool/USA
@OutbreakJake@jmesillett@timricketts_ I completely agree and sadly the discharge decision is often made based on what’s possible and not what’s best. Even if it’s just to decompress the ED for 12 hours it’s often the only way.
@OutbreakJake@timricketts_ This is the key point. The dynamic risk assessment needs to be done to decide where the risk is greater in discharging or the front door assessment and treatment. My experience is always preventing access at the front carries far more risk than earlier discharge.
@Victoria_Rixon@LadyDoth@Joanna19997073 What a nonsense view. It’s important to provide patients with all of the necessary info to keep them safe following on operation. This avoids some very awkward questions or necessary complications post hip op. Can you try to make your point understandable
@swap2013@jabberwock951 I agree with that. I think you may have misunderstood me. My point is it’s still relevant during strikes hence why derogations are needed.
@narindertweets@huffy58 I’m not sure you understand what the word “fact” means. It’s a fact it’s written in the article. That’s about the only fact I see.
@swap2013@jabberwock951 I couldn’t possibly comment on that. The point of this is how do we keep patient safe and support strikes. Appropriate and necessary derogations. This is being done perfectly.
@Rob_Smithers@jabberwock951 I’m 100% sure they will be making every effort. Derogation would always be a last resort and never weaponised. I knew you would get it eventually.
@Rob_Smithers@jabberwock951 I’ll take a level of professional respect and assume unwilling. My hope is appropriate derogations continue this week to keep patients/ staff/ sites safe. 👍🏻
@Rob_Smithers@jabberwock951 I would disagree with you. My logic is supported by the BMA hence the derogation was given. That’s how it should be. Seems like you are hell bent on compromising patient safety and using some thinly veiled trust bias to do it. You won’t win this one unfortunately.
@Rob_Smithers@jabberwock951 You have proven my point perfectly. Thank you. Give the derogation to protect the patients then look after the fact. It’s some simple stuff this. The NHs are not gaming anything just trying to respect strikes/ keep patients/staff and sites safe. I’ll always support that.
@Rob_Smithers@jabberwock951 Yes and this was done and the justification was given and the derogation granted. That’s how it should go. The reality is the respect is there from trusts to not ask if it’s not the right thing to do. Have an in depth look after by all means.
