Grief can take so many forms. Not just when someone dies, but the end of a relationship, a job or a friendship can shake you to the core and leave you reeling.
You can’t call your mum/dad and complain about the days trivial annoyances. You’re constantly thinking about the next thing you need to do, or who’s relying on you to be there next. There’s no downtime for us - and that makes me sad.

I was watching @loosewomen this morning, and they were talking about how they don’t really feel like adults and how when they go home their mothers still ‘mother’ them and for a little while they feel like children again.
And it made me sad.. (P1)
we’ve been robbed of this feeling.
When your parent dies - whether it’s your mum or your dad, or both - you’re thrust into adulthood. And you get no respite from it. You can’t go home and leave your plate by the dishwasher, where somebody else will clear it up for you.(P2)

Feelings of guilt when you’re living a life that your parent is missing are completely normal. But remember that living your life is not forgetting what has happened. It’s okay to smile, have fun and enjoy the things you used to again; in your own time. You won’t forget them 🤍
