Haley is 27 years old. In 2023, she developed Depersonalization Disorder. She experienced persistent existential thoughts, vision changes, and couldn’t leave her house without experiencing the feeling of impending doom.

Dissociative disorders occur as a response to threat, be it an act of violence, loss of a loved one or as a response to perceived dangers from childhood, as the mind’s way of helping a person distance themselves from a difficult experience 🧠 https://t.co/7z0MaO9Tpc
@mz_uptown0 @wolfnunley For me a combination of things helped - To eat better & organic, to challenge my thoughts, to create healthy patterns eg sleep, CBT, mindfulness class, prayer & learning about the disorder. Eckhart Tolle’s ‘The Power of Now’ helped tremendously.
