Dallas Police Make Three Arrests During Proactive Foot Patrols on Pacific Avenue

On September 16, 2025, CBD Task Force Officers conducted proactive foot patrols in the 900 block of Pacific Avenue and made three arrests, contributing to enhanced safety in the neighborhood.

During the routine foot patrol, officers observed suspicious behavior near several locations. After quick investigations, three individuals were arrested without incident.

Marcus West, 40, was arrested for a warrant for Falsely Holding Oneself Out as a Lawyer, a third-degree felony out of Collin County.

Demonta Eskew, 34, was arrested for a warrant from the U.S. Marshals Service for Enticement of a Minor For Indecent Purposes.

Joseph Jones, 31, was arrested for two warrants from Dallas County for Probation Violation for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second degree felony; Assault Family Violence, a class A misdemeanor.

“Through proactive foot patrols and swift action, we continue to deter suspicious activity and protect our community.” said Assistant Chief Teena Schultz, Commander of the Patrol Bravo Bureau.

These investigations are documented under case numbers 133598-2025, 133480-2025 and 133516-2025.

A suicidal caller -
Leaving city hall at 9pm & ran into one of my favorite 911 call takers/dispatchers. I was newly elected in 2019 when she got a big award for saving a life and she has always been a hit when I've taken tour groups through the unit. Tonight she had a call with a 22-year old who was suicidal. She persuaded the caller to keep talking until officers could arrive. This is the kind of intensity and pressure our 911 call center staff faces every shift. G-d bless each person who works in this field. Our CBD officers found a mom and her two sons in need of shelter after losing their housing. The officers quickly connected the family with resources through @DallasOEM, ensuring they would have a safe place to stay, and purchased the family a meal.
