There has been a lot of damage done by the NDP and it is time to defeat them. I have the necessary combination of experience, leadership, and strategy to unite the party and defeat the NDP.

I sat down with Drea Humphrey from Rebel News and she asked me why I am the best candidate for this job.

For me, it comes down to three things:

✅  I have led before. I have served as a CEO and have a track record of turning around organizations. I know how to lead based on conservative values, how to build a strategy, and how to deliver results.

✅  I have a strong command of public policy. That is why I developed my Five-Point Premier’s Plan, which includes a 20% personal income tax cut for you.

✅  I am the only candidate with MLA, cabinet and Treasury Board experience.

What an incredible evening last night with a packed room, real energy, and tough, thoughtful questions about my Five-Point Premier’s Plan and my BOLD commitment to deliver a 20% personal income tax cut.

A special thank you to MLA Misty Van Popta and MLA Korky Neufeld for joining us and helping make it such a strong evening.

And I was proud to say it clearly to the room:

The NDP has no business telling parents how to raise their children or forcing ideology into our classrooms. I will repeal SOGI.

Teachers should teach. Students should learn. As Premier, I will bring back the basics, restore letter grades, get phones out of classrooms, put O Canada back in, end DEI , and repeal SOGI.

There is nothing accidental or random about this. David Eby knows the NDP internal polling:

Leading a strong and united B.C. Conservative Party into the next election, Iain Black will defeat the NDP, no matter the leader the NDP offers up to B.C. voters.

It’s also why the NDP issued a news release the day Iain Black launched his campaign in January, criticizing his support for the tax cuts that had British Columbians paying the lowest taxes in Canada.

No other candidate had such a news release issued by the NDP, because no other candidate is more electable in a General Election.

No other candidate poses such a clear and present threat to the NDP Government.

The NDP is worried about Iain Black, and for good reason.

As the former Chancellor of the Vancouver School of Theology at UBC, I know that on Day One, we need someone who is ready to lead - with experience, discipline, and real solutions.

You can tell a guy who’s actually in the trenches of Conservative politics.

When we took Alberta back from the NDP in 2019 we won a landslide but some of the infighting on some of the policy commitments was intense.

Conservative movements are packed full of common sense normal people and an activist base that is by its nature a bunch of freedom-loving individualists that don’t want to be told what to do by a govt or a party.

Some of them make their version of perfect policy the enemy of pretty good policies - which in BC, to Brad’s point, is:

“…. the NDP gone, smaller government, fiscal responsibility, protection of private property, the end of government in the drug business, hospitals that are open when you need them, safer streets…. “

BC never had to be poorer and less safe with a lower standard of living than a decade ago. That was a choice - that started with who got elected.

So heres to Brad @Bzubyk and everyone on the different leadership teams working hard to make BC better. And here’s to coming together around the next Premier and getting ready to govern - which is when the really hard work starts….

Thank you to CHEK News in Victoria for interviewing me and giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts on the fact that David Eby and the NDP were not at the table with Premier Danielle Smith and Prime Minister Mark Carney to discuss a pipeline implementation plan that could help secure BC’s economic future.

Instead of fighting for British Columbia, David Eby accused the Prime Minister of “rewarding Alberta’s bad behaviour” and immediately moved to block the project. What does that really mean? Blocking jobs. Blocking investment. Blocking major projects. Blocking the economic growth and certainty British Columbians desperately need.

For too long, this NDP government has pushed BC out of critical national conversations. While other provinces fight for opportunity, David Eby fights against pipelines, resource development, and the very projects that create family-supporting jobs and long-term prosperity.

As Premier, I will make sure British Columbia has a seat at the table. I will work with provinces, industry, Indigenous communities, and the federal government to move major projects forward responsibly and get our economy moving again.

BC should be attracting global investors - not driving them away. We need leadership that creates hope, confidence, and prosperity for the people of British Columbia.

Experience matters. We cannot afford to take a risk on an inexperienced candidate in this race when the stakes are this high for B.C.
