Our DWE Chess Club competed this weekend in Pasadena ISD. They took home some impressive trophies and many students had a great number of wins.

Congratulations to our DWE Chess Club who competed this weekend in Pasadena ISD. Our 5th grade team took the 1st Place Team trophy, as well as three individuals placing 5th, 3rd and 1st out of 39 students.

12 Chess students recently competed. Individual winners, all 5th Elias R placed 5th, Cesar S 4th, and Latif G wins 1st place! Our 5th grade team also received 1st place overall out of 11 other 5th grade teams. DWE is proud of all the hard work of the students and Ms. La Fuente.
