For the Comrades Marathon Association, the "festive season" is a time to reconnect with the heart of our running community. Our Vice Chairperson, Nontuthuko Mashimane, recently represented the CMA at the HLAKO FUN RUN / Challenge in Limpopo during the holidays.
A key mission of the trip was to visit the home village of Ntate Johannes Mosehle. At 83 years old, Ntate Mosehle is an octogenarian powerhouse with 12 Comrades medals. It was an honor to present him with a token of appreciation on behalf of the Comrades Marathon Association.
"We saw this as a huge opportunity to display the charitable work of the CMA and to be accessible to runners who dream of one day standing on our start line," says Nontuthuko.
Who is the runner that inspires you to keep going? Tell us in the comments
