Several landmark decisions taken by the Union Cabinet today, under the leadership of PM @narendramodi. #CabinetDecisions approved:

✅ Semicon 2.0 for development of India's Semiconductor design & manufacturing ecosystem, with a total budget outlay of ₹ 1,27,500 crore.

✅ Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme (MPMS) with a budgetary outlay of ₹ 62,500 crore, to be implemented from FY 2026–27 to FY 2030–31.

✅ National Investment Policy for Urea-2026 for Atmanirbhar Bharat (NIPU-2026) to encourage new investments in urea sector for setting up gas-based urea manufacturing units in the country, helping achieve the goal of self-sufficiency.

✅ A 43.2 km, 6/4-lane, ₹ 10,998.32 crore Elevated Corridor development connecting NH-31 and Varanasi Ring Road along the River Varuna for decongestion of Varanasi city in UP.

✅ A 6-lane Greenfield Elevated Corridor development worth ₹ 14,447.64 crore between NH-19 and Varanasi Ring Road in UP on Hybrid Annuity Model, improving urban mobility.

✅ Two multitracking projects costing ₹ 3,907 crore, covering four districts across Odisha & Jharkhand, expanding the Indian Railways network by about 145 km.

Reviewed our cooperation including in political, economic, investments, clean energy, defence, mobility and pharmaceutical domains. Also focused on opportunities in ports, maritime, semiconductors as well as broader cooperation for supply chain de-risking.

Had a useful exchange of perspectives on global developments including in West Asia.

The CETA will give fresh momentum to our farmers, entrepreneurs and MSMEs. Several vibrant sectors will gain stronger access to the UK market. It will also deepen cooperation in technology, professional services and innovation, while supporting greater mobility for skilled Indian talent.
