@erickiitto@DrManful26 Bold of you to assume.
But being in the healthcare field and seeing what I see, I will just stick to what's the reality on the ground.
But let's agree to disagree .
All the best
@erickiitto@DrManful26 Ok so if someone is a hypertensive on medication, how will you find that out if his BPs are normal at the time of check?
I have no knowledge of any govt database of HIV+ people but would you consider the possibility that that list is not all encompassing or all inclusive?
@erickiitto@DrManful26 That would put both the donor and recipient at risk. Because if my guy is really broke, why wont he lie that he's safe or his last donation was 3 months go when it was just last week or he's on no medication when he's taken ARVs or BP meds
@ewoenam_honu@YawTobbs@enyonvm At the end of the day, we need people to understand the need for voluntary donation. It's necessary to keep the cycle going
If you need incentive, 37MH gives you malt and 1 full tin of MiloπππΏ
@ewoenam_honu@YawTobbs@enyonvm They are not obligated to do so, their relative asks them to do it and they choose of their own free will to do it.
They can also refuse if they are uncomfortable. Case in point, let's say the relative is a JW,he opts to not donate, no one is going to string him up by his neck.
@ewoenam_honu@YawTobbs@enyonvm The point is that it's a slippery slope.
There's always a logical argument to be made for everything and all you need is precedent
@ewoenam_honu@YawTobbs@enyonvm But you still can't force people to do with their bodies what you want.
Maybe it's because it's something you agree with, what if it's something you don't?
Where does it stop?
All unmarried pregnancies should be forcibly aborted, all men over a certain age should be sterilised.
@ewoenam_honu@YawTobbs@enyonvm They can but there is no incentive to do it.
Ask yourself, why would I drive all the way to the blood bank to donate when I know I have a condition or I'm on medication or something else when I can just stay home.
Unless ibi evil spirit or madness?
@ewoenam_honu@YawTobbs@enyonvm Best you can do is encourage people to donate blood.
Myself, I am a voluntary donor and it takes nothing away from me to go and donate, and I have done it 25 times now.
@ewoenam_honu@YawTobbs@enyonvm Donor may hide conditions which may cause risk to themselves or the recipient. Is he on medication, maybe high BP, maybe Hep B or HIV pos? It may be caught on screening or not.
This is why they don't even sell blood and blood products cuz if man is broke, will a lie stop him?
@_benopaonyx1 @elikem_tay Lool, normal hospital story.
I've seen it happen more than once.
The way the family vex, like they are really angry that their relative no die
