.@Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs has passed Nick Pietrosante (3,933) for the fifth-most rushing yards in franchise history.
His 8 scrimmage TDs are the most through the first five games of any season by a Lions RB.

Today's Daily DLP welcomes Brian Branch back to Lions practice. What impact can Branch make? Plus, Sam LaPorta's contractual impasse: where should the two sides go from here? The first Week 5 injury report includes a problematic name, and much more...

Demanding Tate Ratledge to be better feels a little disingenuous.
Playing like a top-15 guard 20 games into his career is perfectly acceptable as he continues to develop.
He’s the second-highest-graded first- or second-year guard in the league.
Brad Holmes and the draft pick value conundrum. The source of so much frustration for so many Lions faithful, myself included. So I wrote my way through it, via @DetLionsPodcast

liked it in the first half when the Lions were still playing complementary football.
didn't like it in the 2nd half when the defense was on the field too often.
.@Lions RB J. Gibbs & WR A. St. Brown have logged TDs in the same game 21 times.
This ranks 4th by any @NFL RB + WR duo since the merger, trailing:
1. Cowboys RB E. Smith + WR M. Irvin (32)
2. Colts RB E. James + WR M. Harrison (25)
3. Bills RB T. Thomas + WR A. Reed (23)
The $.10 are back! Loaded up this week with thoughts on the Rams falling flat, the Bears mauling, good starts for bad teams, ATL's QB issues, a weird rule in DET, UM/WMU persisting, outdoor indoor volleyball and more
Lions Bills Initial Injury Report Analysis
🔴Mahogany listed with hip is interesting as he left game with knee injury. That's great news for knee. As many have pointed out, he was slow getting up on prior play. I reviewed all his plays and didn't see anything obvious for hip. Hope just simple hip strain early in game.
🔴Miller played 100% of game so knee could be minor. MCL is possible as he was rolled up on during game.
🟡Scruggs - Did not see an injury during game. LP reassuring.
🟢Izien ready to go. Will get 10d recovery after this game.
Lions NT Tyleik Williams had definitively the best game of his NFL career against the Saints in Week 1.
Below are 2:00 of highlights of him wrecking shop. 📽️🏗️
Williams’ 76.9 PFF defensive grade in Week 1 ranks 14th among 85 qualifying defensive tackles.
With Williams on the field (36 defensive snaps):
• -0.11 EPA/play
• 36.1% offensive success rate
• 3.5 yards/play
Without Williams (54 defensive snaps):
• +0.022 EPA/play
• 46.2% offensive success rate
• 6.7 yards/play
Detroit Lions create massive cap space with 2 contract restructures
Makes a ton of sense to make room in this manner. Penei Sewell and Amon-Ra St. Brown are foundational corners of this team.

I have come out of a self imposed X ban to say... BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! The Carolina Panthers called and they threatened to sue the Lions and Nike for Copyright infringement.
Pretty productive day for some of the Detroit Lions’ key rotational defensive linemen:
• Levi Onwuzurike (18 snaps) — 80.3 PFF defensive grade, 2 QB pressures, 2 defensive stops
• Derrick Moore (25 snaps) — 70.9 PFF defensive grade, 2 QB pressures, 2 defensive stops, 1 forced fumble
• Skyler Gill-Howard (23 snaps) — 76.7 PFF defensive grade, 1 QB pressure, 1 defensive stop
• Ahmed Hassanein (19 snaps) — 2 QB pressures
Those four Brad Holmes draft picks are likely part of the Lions’ top-nine defensive line rotation and could each see anywhere from 10-30+ defensive snaps per game.
