Hi Eric, very nice! One more direction:
A) Now make the letters simply transparent - super-imposed with ''multiply'' function (simply adding black on whatever is under) . Letters will not be isolated anymore - but would simply travel on top and across the noisy background. Now to steer it all up - make all pixels in the background travel somewhere else - randomly and... also change directions - in groups - each group - switching the direction based on it's own random time.
B) Make also the letters alter their direction over time, moving at random angles for random duration.
Idea is to leave behind two distinctive motion patterns, and have multiplicity of patterns in both background and the subject - that are altering the direction and also switching on and off over time!

What you'll get - is complex sum of motions in discontinued space in discontinued time. Humans will ''see'' this using trained brain and our eye-brain system. Computational vision would not be able to ''find'' the pattern. Not even in multiple passes.
