After the Kosovo Special Forces entered the Banjska Monastery, they managed to evacuate the civilians captured there, which is an excellent piece of news. They've been taken to the police station in southern Mitrovica and more of the attackers are being arrested.

Earlier today the #Serbian #Orthodox #Church in #Kosovo strongly and explicitely condemned today's armed assault by unidentified heavily armed assailants on #Kosovo police. The Church also denounced the forceful intrusion by armed individuals into the Banjska monastery, jeopardizing the lives of the clergy and 40 pilgrims present for the Sunday Liturgy.
Peace and order must be preserved in Kosovo and all citizens adequately protected. (Photos from media)
