Thank you to @captheatres for our backstage tour before the summer - learning about the history of the Festival Theatre, parts of a theatre building, roles in the performing arts industry and theatre terminology.

So proud of our Seniors who completed @edfringe work experience with @ThePleasance this month - they’ve grown in confidence, learned new skills, experienced a diverse range of shows and made new friends! Thank you to Candida Alderson for providing this opportunity 🙏
Thank you to @edintfest for inviting us to this afternoon’s Schools’ performance of The Outrun as part of their Discover Theatre programme. The post-show Q&A with the Creative Team was also highly interesting.
#VL at @Summerhallery@painesplough was brilliant - hilarious but also thought-provoking and there will be lots for us to discuss around themes of teenage pressures and ideas of masculinity.
Added bonus: pupils experiencing theatre in the round staging 👍
S3 Drama began in June with #edfringe project. The class learned about the origins and values of the festival. We also researched the shows, learning how to navigate the website. Everyone had to select their favourite Fringe event and create a presentation to win the class vote.
Highly recommend #edfringe show #EverybodysTalkingAboutJamie 👠 by
@FCTCompany starring our former pupil, Sam. Entertaining and emotional production by a talented young cast and live band - I pretty much sobbed throughout Act 2 😭
Sam is phenomenal - proud day ☺️
Thank you to @ScreenEdinburgh for our HETV Inspire presentation and workshop today - very informative, particularly about the wide variety of different job roles and pathways in the High-End TV Drama production industry #DYW
What a wonderful group of pupil volunteers we had supporting Expressive Arts Faculty at tonight’s P5/6/7 Open Evening. Thank you for giving up your time and being such excellent ambassadors for the school ⭐️
First time at the theatre for one of our pupils today: “I enjoyed it, I liked the live performance and being part of an audience and it was funny. I’d go to the theatre again, definitely for a comedy!” 😍🎭 @edfringe#edfringe@traversetheatre#SeanandDaro
Fringe Sponsored Schools Project starts today for @GracemountHigh! First show for us was #SeanandDaro at @traversetheatre - “I really liked the Scottish humour and Scottish voices onstage”, “The actors were funny”, “A nice set”, “Entertaining!” @edfringe#edfringe
S3 Drama class have been learning about @edfringe and are a selected group to participate in the Fringe Sponsored Schools programme this August. They’ve been researching shows and have delivered presentations today to pitch their trip suggestion to the class. Voting tomorrow!
