@EPHoughton Life on the “other side” is very interesting! I found dealing with medical professionals’ jargon during pregnancy suddenly made question how accessible I am to parents. And informed consent for intervention during labour and birth… don’t get me started 😂
@EPHoughton I think you just kick into action and make it work! I’m not sure how 😂 It’s definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but also totally rewarding. & I feel it’s changed my perspective as an EP too which is v interesting to reflect on!
@EPHoughton Yeh I get that. Putting in boundaries are hard - especially when external pressures make those boundaries feel impossible. My “new boss” no longer lets me work late 👶🍼 but he’s a whole other level of bossy 😂
I'm doing a free giveaway to celebrate the publication of my latest book! Like and retweet to enter (UK only). Winner announced on Sunday. Link to find out more about the book below. #freebie#giveaway
How it started v how it’s ended.
With Xmas festivities just round the corner, today marks my final proper day of #maternityleave. By far the most rewarding yet equally most challenging 7 months of my life.
Be back with you soon @LWP_EdPsychs 😊

Successful morning! Off for my final KIT day (and Christmas meal!) before I return to work. Left a smiling baby playing with Dad. Annnnd I remembered the breast pump! Excellent!

Took a #mindful moment last night to come up for air 4 months into my #maternity leave & remind myself of the incredible (& incredibly hard) journey I’ve been on since we were last blessed with the Northern Lights (which I missed due to various pregnancy related issues) 💚❤️💜
Today is #PansPandasAwarenessDay

Thanks for all the messages I’ve received from our lovely schools & colleagues!
Parenthood is quite a journey but I’m attempting to cherish those glimmering moments & consider the disastrous ones learning opportunities!
Enjoying some family time with my husband & Baby James ❤️
