C) Losartan.
The uricosuric effect of losartan is mediated by inhibition of the apical urate transporter 1 (URAT1, encoded by SLC22A12) in proximal tubular epithelial cells. By decreasing tubular urate reabsorption, losartan promotes uricosuria and reduces serum uric acid concentrations. Unlike most other angiotensin II receptor blockers, losartan possesses this clinically relevant uricosuric property.
