Jon interviewed Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas Attorney General, about why her state banned gender-affirming care for minors - ignoring the guidelines of major medical organizations and taking the decision out of parents’ hands. Watch the full interview on @AppleTVPlus
One of my favorite comics when I was little was Calvin and Hobbes. I had this one Just Show up in my mind last night.
Bill Watterson intentionally disappeared after making it big, it always puzzled me. Still does all these years later.

@jack_turban If an aspiring psychiatrist who had just submitted her ERAS application wanted to get your attention for some possible career advice, would a tweet do the trick?
It is strange to me that some people think that "lower odds of depression and suicidality" has materially different implications for clinical care. The preponderance of data supports my prior assertion, and it remains unchanged: gender affirming care is life saving care.
My team got a paper published in JAMA Open, you can check it out here:
Mental Health Outcomes in Transgender and Nonbinary Youths Receiving Gender-Affirming Care https://t.co/diKE1kjOPH via @JAMANetworkOpen part of @JAMANetwork
I'm surprised that this paper is still getting attention in the media, and further surprised to see that my painfully inactive twitter is getting replies about it.
Anyhow, I have little to say that I haven't already said here:

@elonmusk@pmarca This is dumb.
Most people on Wellbutrin either have treatment resistant depression or a mood disorder more severe than major depression, which is one reason of many you can't cite everyday conversations to make this assertion. The plural of anecdote isn't data.
I was on the Morning Beat with AJ and Mikalah this Monday, we talked about my team's latest study. You can check it out here:
Why Puberty Blockers & Gender-affirming Hormones are Important to Our Trans Youth https://t.co/je2HliKSLs
I'll be tweeting out any more academic findings or media appearances I am a part of from here. Depending if social media use agrees with me more generally, my engagement may broaden. We'll see.
