If they make the move to go full Disney so all we see in future collabs is just Disney stuff, I feel it's gonna severely impact how much people are gonna like/play the game
Like it wouldn't surprise me if this Disney crossover causes a massive falloff in players
And let me say as much as I enjoy Fortnite as a game, it was already a massive advertisement circle jerk as is
At least the general collab skins and items felt a lot more evenly dispersed
If the approach going forward is to remove functionality from existing skins or reduce functionality of potential skins in this game, then they should either offer the ability to refund any skins that lose said functionality or offer these new skins at a reduced price.
Like I was already cringing at the idea of Fortnite becoming Disney circle jerk metaverse slop but going so far as to alter the game's identity when the game has been around for 7 years is just beyond stupid

NEW FORTNITE x DISNEY STATEMENTS ‼️
• Disney wants a grand persistent universe in Fortnite
• Not all outfits will be able to do everything (like holding guns)
• "This is all of Disney ... to make what every Disney fan has ever wanted""

Fortnite is a battle royale.
Characters use guns.
Like if you go "Okay we want to not let our characters use guns and limit them to certain modes" then I gotta ask why do this to an existing game instead of just making a new Disney crossover game with your own rules/mechanics
