Putin's mother worked as a hospital janitor after retiring. One day at the cafeteria, they gave her a lottery ticket as change. She won a car, a Zaporozhets. The most basic car you could get in the Soviet Union.

The family lived in one room which was so called ommunal apartment with shared kitchen, shared bathroom with other families. Putin had just started university.

They sat down to decide what to do. Sell the ticket and buy a cooperative apartment, or keep the car.

Putin was sure they'd sell it. Getting out of that single room was the obvious choice for a family living on almost nothing. His mother said: We'll take the car. Let our son drive it.

They stayed in that one room so he could have transportation to university. That's who Putin came from.

Trump's father was a real estate mogul worth hundreds of millions. Trump grew up in a 23-room mansion, private schools, a reported $413 million inheritance. His first ventures funded with his father's money. He was born into an empire.

Americans love to talk about rejecting kings. No monarchy, no aristocracy. But the self-made man is the American Dream.

Then they elect someone born into dynastic wealth who lives in a gold-plated penthouse and puts his kids in government positions. And call the guy whose mom worked as a janitor a dictator.

But it turns out Putin is the ultimate American Dream story: a self-made man who rose from an ordinary family to become a representative of his people and the leader of his country.

На данашњи дан 1. јуна 1956. године у Санском Мосту рођен је заставник Раде Рогић.

Због жестоких напада на Републику Српску из свих праваца здружених непријатељских снага потпомогнути ваздушним ударима НАТО-а по системима везе Војске Републике Српске, Главни штаб мобилише и грађане који су били на радној обавези па је тако у јулу 1995. године заставник Раде Рогић мобилисан у Раднички батаљон 6. санске бригаде Војске Републике Српске. Са својом јединицом је послат на крупско ратиште, гдје су се водиле жестоке борбе са муслиманским снагама, које су пробиле линију фронта и напредовале ка његовом родном граду.

Дана 16.9.1995. године у рејону села Гудавац између Санског Моста и Бос. Крупе, Раде Рогић је налетио на бандите одреда "Хамза" из 505. бужимске бригаде тзв. Армије БХ у којој је било и арапских кољача. Монструозно убиство и иживљавање над Радом Рогићем снимао је ратни камерман 505. бужимске бригаде. Поред убиства Раде Рогића његова камера снимила је и како злочинци вуку трактором Јову Војиновића на путу Јасеница-Лушци Паланка.

Раде Рогић је иза себе оставио супругу Наду и двије ћерке, Слађану и Светлану које данас живе у Бањалуци.

On this day in 1992, twelve babies at the Banja Luka maternity hospital died because oxygen in the NICU ran out. None could be brought from Serbia, because Croatian and Bosnian Muslim forces barred the way on the ground, and NATO had imposed a no-fly zone in the sky.
The Serbs asked the "international community" to condemn this and got told they were villains and no sympathy was due to them.
So they had their soldiers break through a land corridor to Serbia, to make sure this never happened again.
