The networks dictated what was shown and when, whether after school or Saturday mornings, creating legions of fans for “Sesame Street,” “SpongeBob Squarepants” and “Blue’s Clues.” And a stable production pipeline and revenue stream was in place.
Now, that model is all but dead.

@TananariveDue That's exactly why my latest work was election-themed. Felt like if I didn't write it this year, I'd probably never write it. Also felt like it was going to be a silly thing, but the way the real world turned out, it became a little nugget of hope.

Democrats are about to turn me into a conspiracy theorist. They're so quick to congratulate the opposition without asking a single question, almost like the 1% just trade administrations back and forth every few years to keep the corpos happy.
Conceding in less than 24 hours, while Republicans stick to a stolen election narrative for the last 4 years and counting.
Democrats' defining trait over the last 24 years is spinelessness. We desperately need a better option.
In our nation, we owe loyalty not to a president or party, but to the Constitution of the United States, and to our conscience and our God.
My allegiance to all three is why I am here to say, while I concede this election, I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign: The fight for freedom, for opportunity, and for fairness and the dignity of all people.
