The Denver Regional Council of Governments fosters regional cooperation among county and municipal governments in the Denver metro area. Also known as DRCOG.
Congrats to Emily, one of DRCOG's photo contest winners! She works for @CityofLittleton, and her photo is of a bike parked at a light rail station during a rainy night. Emily likes being able to "not drive every day to work because I have access to transit and safe bike routes."
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ... your input on projects for safer mobility and upgraded parks along and near the 13th Avenue corridor in northwest Aurora!
If you can join us at an open house Thursday, July 16, we'll give you free ice cream, along with anyone you bring along. Stop by anytime from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Vaughn Elementary School, 1155 Vaughn St., to review the design so far on transportation upgrades on 13th Avenue, including widened sidewalks, enhanced crosswalks, improved lighting and more. Public comments will help guide the final design.
At the same time, our friends at the city's Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department will join us to gather community input as they start work to improve Freedom Park, Havana Park and General's Park.
Meeting exhibits will be posted online July 16, and online comments at the web addresses below also may be shared from July 16 to Aug. 6 for those who cannot attend the open house. Visit https://t.co/ixOudG8uXK and https://t.co/Zr1fzBKR3S for more information on both projects.
