@CaptainDizzyDX I’m not exactly a Rayman fan but legends is one of my favorite games ever and Im mixed. I think the new lore stuff looks really cool but calling it legends and using the same level design doesnt really sit right with me. It feels like its almost a new game minus the actual levels
I'm gonna chime in.
You're all dumb, Sony, Xbox, and Nintendo do not have an ever expanding Library of games. Valve has a daily increase of games, some are great, some are crap, some are just meh, others are okay, some may steal info on your PC because you aren't careful.
End of the day though, Steam is the only platform that has a Library of games that constantly expands, not all the games run on crap engine 5, some have their own engines that are easier on hardware. Yea the Steam Deck doesn't have any changes to hardware sure, but Steam itself is always updating, unlike other consoles that force you to update every now and then, steam is a platform not a console. You can move that one account to any other PC, you can move that account to a friends PC, you can play your older games and a crap PC, you can move those games to a brand new upgraded PC.
Steam is a platform worth far more than Sony, Nintendo, or even Microsofts xbox. $200 more on something that connects to a Library that is always expanding, I'll be honest it's worth the price, but I'm not buying any of them. If you're leaving your PC for any reason go do another project or touch grass don't go bringing a mobile steam library with you to play more games.
The lesson we should take from this is idolizing one company as better than every other in every single way is one of the stupidest things you can do and makes discourse incredibly unhealthy overall
Stop worshiping these guys. Like yes valve are more consumer friendly but they quite literally just pulled the worst price increase our of all the companies. Never trust any of them
I’m sure PC/Steam users will still find a way to tell you that Nintendo is still more scummy and poor indie Valve had no choice and needs to be forgiven
Class of 09 helped me cope with one of the worst moments of my entire life. I can’t pretend it doesn’t mean anything to me or that I don’t still like the first 2 games. The creator on the other hand is a total piece of shit.
current fan attitude towards... honestly a lot of things is reminding me a lot of the last weeks of etika being alive. I remember you people, man. I remember the amount of shitting on him and pointing at the clown. then he killed himself and suddenly "oh we always loved etika"
between toby fox and gooseworx not only are indie audiences increasingly more hostile over everything but also there's a pervasive feeling of lolcow culture surrounding them and i feel like it's turning a lot of aspiring indie creators away from creating
Top things the corporate white knights hate now because the rest of the Nintendo fandom is critical of the Switch 2:
1-WiiU
2-Reggie and Iwata
3-Nintendo Directs
4-Innovation
There are more, but these are the biggest ones I've noticed recently.
