Just standing there is so emotional, and I feel my eyes growing wet. Most people walk past, unresponsive. They don’t even cast a glance in my direction. Their eyes are open, but I’m not sure they really see what’s going on around them. I totally understand.

To our surprise, he opened his eyes. I was taken aback, even a bit frightened, worried he might be confused. I looked into his eyes and whispered, 'I'm Mimi, a medical clown. I sang for you.' 'Beautiful voice,' he said before closing his eyes again.
