The upside of travel plans/routes not going to plan is having the opportunity to experience a new breakfast menu. Highly recommend when in Cairns airport QLD Rattle n Hum restaurant, excellent customer service and a tasty breakfast. Will be back.

Lovely circle of old spinifex. It would have started as a tiny bush at the centre and grown outwards over ~50 years, creating a flat dead centre.

Aircraft such as the Boeing 737-800 can use short runways can turn and burn the distances with comfortable ease and its passengers (me) experience all this and sometimes marvel at rainbows sleeping on top of a bed of clouds.
