#Christmas can be a struggle if you have an #eatingdisorder. It is just another day, if you recognise it will be a trigger then don’t put pressure on yourself, stick to a balanced meal plan. Prioritise #recovery
We can choose to try to stop ourselves ruminating on negative thoughts or we can choose to engage in active distraction when anxious thoughts are building. The result may not always be being “happy” but we can move ourselves forward in a positive way.

I saw this in a cafe over the weekend and initially felt fairly affronted by what appears a fairly frivolous statement, especially if you struggle with poor mental health. You can’t choose not to have an mental illness.

but it doesn’t have to be impossible, even a small text every day could be
helpful! #recovery#SundayThoughts
@HopeVirgo I think you are doing an amazing job! My daughter flora is a few weeks younger than yours and day naps are my nemesis! She mostly contact sleeps!
At @Family_Mental_W (and with the amazing work of @3SIDEDCUBE) we have been busy developing tools to help families and children to build their #mentalhealth and would love to find families to join us! If your keen to join in plese get in touch! https://t.co/XhI7PPfW0u
We (well mostly my parents @nickpollard and @CarolAPollard as I am on maternity leave) have been busy creating tools for building childrens #mentalhealth, we would love for others to join us to help children and families to build mentally healthy lives!
That Friday night feeling is even stronger when you've just finished the final checks on a 400-page book's typesetting. Been a long journey but we got there! Kudos especially to @DrEMcNaught for fitting in her writing around clinical work during Covid https://t.co/QzykVAyXgA
