@JohnforMI MI shortchanges #charterschool students by providing them less funding than their district school peers. This hurts kids—especially those from minority and low-income families. #miched

@SylvanMarine your website says "Award Winning Service." I have been waiting 2.5 years for replacements for my busted captains chairs and a pole for our cover (we were shorted a pole). Would love to see some of that service after being in touch with the dealer for 2+ years!?
In the classroom I don’t tell my students where I stand on the political spectrum. I don’t tell them who I’ve voted for or who I will vote for. Why? Because I’m not the subject of the class.
@L_D_Washington Yes, but with some exceptions (there are few "absolutes" in education). Classes like math and perhaps SOME sciences should allow this. However, it is very easy to differentiate in English and Social Studies. Also, the value in discussion and peer relation is huge in the arts.
This time of year is tough for our at-risk students. The consistency and love the receive every day from their teachers, para's, administrators, etc., is going away. Remember this when they act out. They are scared and confused. #loveemupteachemup
@KevinLeichtman Keep your focus on the kids. Be patient. It is tough, but it is worth it! ENJOY teaching!! Do not get hitched to the negative staff in your building; they want fresh faces in their negative room! Stay out! Good luck!
