Great game tonight Crewe v Walsall - a great following for Walsall too who were up for the game. Both sides wanted it in phases… draw seems fair. Adomah at Walsall is a legend but he had a short cameo and looked off the pace.

Good game for March, again (ole ole).

@crewealexfc Brilliant in phases, last 15 mins shown the hunger of the side, refreshing to see in parts. First half tempo and attitude dropped too many times. Tabiner and White brilliant, but need to look at the simple pass options too at times.

Josh Stephenson from Brentford played his debut today for @crewealexfc and he was unbelievable. To come in so confident, composed and ready to fight for the badge. Unbelievable… never fall in love with a loan player… 🙄

Brentford could easily give him minutes!

Crewe were brilliant today, very tough opposition so naturally a slow start and clearly missing a bit of physicality in the middle. Second half pressed brilliantly sensed mistakes and capitalised. Unlucky for the Northampton goalkeeper tough to take. Stephenson great debut. #CAFC
