If I had to restart as a video editor today, I’d only do 3 things:
1) Lock one niche
→ One buyer, one format
2) Study what converts
→ What performs
→ What clients pay to fix
3) Run focused outreach
→ 5–10 DMs/day
→ One insight per message, no pitching

One thing I’ve learned about outreach
your first message almost never gets a reply.
It’s usually the follow up that does.
Not the “just checking in” type,
but the one where you actually show value a new edit, case study, or something that proves you’re worth replying to.
Only 3 months left in 2025.
to standout in 2026 add one extra service
Master even 1 extra skill and you’ll separate yourself from 90% of editors.
