Corn sure is an amazing plant. This was the corn behind my house on June 8th. After that brutal start, and a summer with less than ideal moisture, I am shocked how it performed.

I enjoyed taking my daughters to look at some cattle at a place where I have a lot of memories when I was their age. Poky puts on a first class open house! We also enjoyed a relaxing couple of days at my brother-in-laws house in Golden, Colorado.

EF2 tornado went through our home farm last night. All the livestock accounted for and we are thankful that there were no injuries around the Atlantic area.

Our first truckloads of corn began arriving Monday. By the end of harvest, we will have stored close to 8 M bushels of high moisture corn to provide nutritious rations for our cattle.
