Pastor Mike’s message at Grace Family Church today was from Acts Chapter 16 where Paul, Silas and Timothy were traveling and sharing the good news of salvation.
We know salvation comes from believing that Jesus is the Messiah who died for our sins but his point was it can’t stop with us. Once we know that and believe that, we have a responsibility so share that news with other people.
It starts with how we live—the fact that if we really do accept Jesus as Lord and savior it will change our thoughts and our actions. And part of what should change is our desire to share with others should increase.
Pastor Mike gave a formula on how to share our faith with others. His acronym was BLESS
B-begin with prayer
L-listen to them
E-eat with them
S-serve them
S-share your story
It was a convicting message and challenged me to make sure I am sharing with others who don’t know Jesus.
Pastor Aaron asked a question in his message at New Hope West Church today: Have I lost my sense of awe of the Lord? In Psalm 27:4 David said he only asked God for one thing—that he could live in God’s house and God’s presence.
Do I have that type of awe of the Lord? Is He my greatest pursuit?
I have to continually ask myself “What do I want out of life? What is my greatest pursuit? Hopefully it is seeing God’s kingdom come to earth and allowing His will to be done in my life.

Jesus, make me more like You. Please remove any behaviors or thought patterns that don't reflect Your character or heart for people. Make me bold, brave, and courageous - but keep me humble, kind, and gentle. Let the way I live reflect Your hope and love. And when the opportunity arises, help me to share my faith with genuine joy. Amen.
