Very sad news. Such a clear thinker. Darwin's Dangerous Idea ranks alongside The Extended Phenotype as essential reading for anyone interested in evolution. And Consciousness Explained remains the most coherent discussion of that topic that I have read.
In Ireland, older adults from lower socioeconomic groups are vastly underrepresented in dietary intake datasets and dietary interventions, and there are stark differences in life expectancy and health. There is still time to apply to this valuable PhD, please share widely🙏🙏🙏

But yes to all the issues with size, unrepresentative sample, confounds like smoking and ethnicity etc.
@jerryteixeira@CaloriesProper I get the whole food motivation but:
If u want to change only one variable (protein) then whole foods are a bad choice as they have other nutrients.
If u want participants to maintain their habitual diet esp. if crossing to other arm of study whole foods are a bad choice.
