Bah, got very close but came up short to finishing this level this week. Got the collectibles in and did a lot of decorating, but not all of it. Will certainly get it all finished next week, though. #screenshotsaturday
Alright, finished the general layout for the level this week. Now just to decorate, add collectibles, and polish it. Here's a clip of a part where the crayons get a bit more....aggressive. #screenshotsaturday
It was admittedly a busy week, and between that and some bug-fixing I didn't make as much level design progress as I'd like. But I still managed to get some level design done. Hopefully I can work on catching up this weekend. #screenshotsaturday
So, actually didn't make any level design progress this week. But, I did take the time to implement some new features for the level, including this. I think moments like this could add some flare and personality to things. #screenshotsaturday
So, gonna be away from home this weekend, so posting this a day early. But I've started on level design here. This mechanic is basically me taking a different angle on a similar idea from the first game. Taking it easy here and introducing the player to the concept.
Alrighty, finished up the level layout this week! Even got the collectibles added in. All that's left is polishing things up and decorating. #screenshotsaturday
@DantasAnkelles Believe it or not, this is not far off from something I have ideas for and I want to do if I have the time for it. Not gonna go too specific about that right now, though.
@DantasAnkelles Oh my gosh, for some reason I haven't been notified of replies like these. I'm sorry for not responding.
But yes! That's the name of the world: Crayon Canyon
Alrighty, fleshed out the environment a bit further this week. A bit of a ways to go still, but I'm even more confident in the direction it's going now. #screenshotsaturday
Alright, added art for jump-thru platforms that also function as places to stick these tubes of paint for the level gimmick. With that and some more variations of the "plant-life" I've done, I think I'm about ready to start level designing! #screenshotsaturday
So this week had me exhausted and busy, and I kinda didn't make progress. But there's still progress from last week that I didn't get to share that I'll share now. Added a canyon to the background, some more crayon doodles, and some colored pencils as spikes. #screenshotsaturday
While I have made progress on Dribble this week, unfortunately can't share it due to being away from home for holiday stuff. But you can certainly expect an update next week!
Been working on art for a new environment this week. Still very WIP and figuring things out, but I think I've found a solid direction to go in. #screenshotsaturday
Alrighty, spent my Dribble dev time this week mainly gathering some feedback and fixing bugs and other issues, so I don't have much to show. Gonna try and push for more new environment art this next week, though.
Alright, got some more tiles made and finished decorating the level, so I think I can call it complete! Might tweak it down the line, but it's time to move onto a new one. #screenshotsaturday
Well, didn't quite finish decorating the level this week like I hoped, but I still made good progress! I'm particularly happy with some details that contextualize the level's mechanics. #ScreenshotSaturday
Alright, FINALLY got started on some actual level design for the Toxic Tavern this week. Trying to find that balance between starting the level off simple and still making good use of the unique mechanics. #ScreenshotSaturday
