Flashback post.
Remember when I used to post loads?
Remember when citra was everywhere?
Remember when Oakham was the peak?
Well, it’s seems @LacadaBrew remembers. Cause this is a passionate 18 page love letter (front and back!) to those times.
If I’ve learned anything from this past month in France is that they have a burgeoning brewpub culture that I hope does well for them, especially if they’re all as good as the few I’ve tried.
Drinking Modable by L’Indé of Agen.
A mere 6 hours in Antwerp with the mission to find Black Albert. Pub A) Nope but great other selection. Pub B) @untappd has them listed as stocking it and being open for another hour. Electric scooter in the rain it is. Pub closed so no idea if they have it. Back to pub A) it is!
I’ve been back in my preferred job as an actor for some time now but passion for Indy beer will never leave me. Tonight I brought the cast to @beerdistrictbux (hope that’s the right tag) and they loved it. Inches at a time folks!
Drinking Portrush beer in Portrush by a roaring open fire on Christmas Eve. Letting the stresses of the year just melt away.
Thanks @LacadaBrew for making probably the best core beer in the north!
Oh no, the hotel I’m staying in in Fulda tonight is 2 minutes away from a brewpub I didn’t know existed.
Very nice hefe Weisse. Very light but just what I need after the day I’ve had.

Not gonna name the beer but, if at the tasting stage your beer evokes, not so much a summer meadow, but more the contents of a lawnmower bag left in a shed all summer… maybe… don’t release that beer?
@Seanaldinho It was, but also great. Back before big beer got its fingers in everything, there was hope that the big boys could be toppled. Instead, breweries just got beg enough to be swallowed…
Another day another great brewery without a Twitter account so I can’t tag them.
Currently in Lovecraft in Nantes drinking a lovely smooth prickly fruited sour from #1989Brewing on the coolest bar counter of all time.
