โBecause youโve always been a terrible liar when it comes to me.โ Julia let out a slightly exasperated sigh.
โI donโt give a crap about the keys Rhae. You on the other hand, I do give a crap about.โ
Rhaenysโs brow instantly raised at the action, glancing back at the keys. โ But I was meant to return them last time.โ
Her head tilted slightly as she leaned forward to put her boots back on.
โWhy would anything be going on?โ
โThat wonโt be necessary.โ Julia replied, waving her hand in a dismissive manner.
โRhaenysโฆโ her brows knitted together.
โWhy donโt you tell me whatโs going on, hmm?โ
โCurrently donโt have a phone so sending a text would be a little hard.โ Rhaenys sat up more and stretched.
โSafe, not safe. Irrelevant to me these days. However Iโm returning your keys back to you.โ
โBarely.โ Julia let out a soft chuckle, rolling her eyes.
โCould have at least sent me a text, I do check my phone when I wake up you know. Well, Iโm glad you decided to crash here at least itโs safe.โ
โWell it didnโt give you a heart attack so youโre fine.โ Rhaenys shrugged and sat up, running a hand through her hair.
โNeeded a place to crash for the night and still had your keys.โ Nodding towards the said of set keys on the coffee table.
โYou scared the life out of me.โ Julia replied, rolling her eyes at the other woman.
โSo what brings you to my humble abode before I have consumed coffee?โ
Rhaenys opened her eyes slightly and tilted her head back at hearing Julia. She still had keys and decided to let herself in during the night.
โMorning to you too.โ
@HaughtyHacker โI guess it does.โ Julia felt a hot flush spread up her cheeks.
โJesus. Youโre making this old woman blush.โ her hands twitched against her thighs as she slowly exhaled.
Cori showed up on Julia's doorstep about half an hour later, bearing gifts of course.
She had a home-cooked meal and flowers in her arms. Best of all, she was wearing the older woman's clothes, which she seemed to like seeing the hacker in.
A blouse that was just a bit โ
โJesus!โ Julia almost jumped out of her skin, stopping dead in her tracks. She had been on her way to the kitchen for her morning coffee when she unexpectedly stumbled across her former wife who was sprawled out, asleep on her couch.
@Drag0nsgoddess.
@HaughtyHacker โIโฆ well, scotch makes me a little on the brutally honest side.โ Julia scoffed, downing the rest of her drink and placing her glass down on coffee table, her gaze returning to the younger womanโs face.
โYou are the sun and stars in my
โ
@HaughtyHacker โFirstly, no. I do not, I am just reserved due to my personal life experience. Secondly, yes, this is my first glass of scotch.โ Julia let out a sigh.
โYou think I would only agree to such a thing because Iโve had a few drinks?โ
@HaughtyHacker โOf course I was serious, I mean. Why wouldnโt I be? Iโll be leaving office eventually. It would be nice to settle down with the woman I love.โ Julia replied, swirling the amber liquid in the glass.
โYou did ask.โ
@HaughtyHacker โA joke? Why on earth would I joke about something like that.โ Juliaโs brows knitted together in confusion, so tightly that one wouldnโt be surprised if a cardigan appeared in front of her.
@HaughtyHacker โSure we can skip the girlfriend part. That is what you asked was it not?โ Julia arched a brow at Cori, the woman looked like a deer stuck in headlights.
@HaughtyHacker โI game far more than I should, maybe Iโm just getting old. My reflexes are a little slower than they used to be.โ A smirk spread across her lips.
โSure, however Iโm not free to run off for a few days until next week.โ
@HaughtyHacker โHolding out on you? Well Iโm hardly great at it. However I wasnโt sure you would be interested in someone who was lacking in an abundance of skill.โ Julia smiled at the view in front of her, Cori was like an excited kid who had won a giant teddy at a fair.
โYouโre very cute.โ
