@Willaim_Eaton@FictionPress@GoDaddy I'm all for mocking the basic human stupidity that seems to have taken over our lives. I even include myself in there for some dumb ideas I've had over the years. My *best* thought was migrating to AO3 -far less restrictive, no ads, and I can pretty much say whatever I want...
@MartinezPi12320@FenreldStmBlade@FictionPress@GoDaddy I've actually begun questioning the statement FFnet put out. Why did it take them two days to tell GoDaddy they'd complied and deleted the links in question? Especially considering that the site was shut off on the 11th? No, there's something really *wrong* with the whole thing.
@MartinezPi12320@FenreldStmBlade@FictionPress@GoDaddy As such when will GoDaddy arbitrarily kill websites for having series that have abuse of any type? Especially with an AI in charge of filtering instead of human eyes?
@DenLilleVerden@FictionPress@GoDaddy Years ago they had NC17/MA ratings, which they removed when they signed on with GoDaddy to be in compliance with the ToS. This can only be avoided in the future by changing the webhost to somebody like AO3s.
@FenreldStmBlade@FictionPress@GoDaddy I said something similar on Reddit. GoDaddy tyrannically pulled the plug over "links". What's next? Banning the likes of Harry Potter, Naruto, or even Cinderella? No, FFnet needs to find a new webhost as soon as possible.
@FictionPress@GoDaddy I'd say once GoDaddy stops giving you a hard time you find a new webhost - one that won't pull the plug with no warning even though you complied with their demands. Really, putting human eyes on the issue is the best we could ask for because AI is not perfect.
@FictionPress Took long enough to acknowledge the problem when resources like https://t.co/XcLS7qSpMs could tell us in seconds. I figured it was GoDaddy giving you a hard time.
