@SergioPinski 3-retrograde p sensed and paced (pmt) at long av until 3 a’s fail to conduct and then sensed av delay shortens speeding up the pmt. Great tracing.
@SergioPinski 2-v based timing so va escape is 1000ms-450ms. This paced a can’t conduct likely due to concealed conduction from a in pvarp colliding with retro. V comes on at Long av delay (likely searching for conduction.
@SergioPinski 1-3rd beat a-pseudofusion (a based timing with rate smoothing probably why paces above lower rate). Pvc after conducted beat with no va before sinus a that falls in pvarp.
@Dr_Nazarian_EP@EPeeps_Bot@MJAckermanMDPhD@PeterKowey@Charlie2150 Right after REMS ended, My first and only outpatient restart: I selected a patient on tikosyn for years with no issues and ppm to avoid any issue with reverse use dep. output ecg 2 hours after first dose. 4 hours later she called from home with dizzy spell. TdP recorded on ppm.
@DrBradleyKnight This financial disincentive should be reevaluated? If reimbursement is so strongly influencing patient care, fee-for-service should be reevaluated.
@MRobinsonEP After my dad died (a week after I discovered that his myeloma had relapsed 3 chemo cycles before), I could no longer stomach fee-for-service medicine... I now love working in our socialized national healthcare system! Ending fee-for-service is at least part of the answer.
@CardiBeatMD This is the chalk talk I’m giving tomorrow morning in the CCU! I’m going to have to pull up some x-rays and ECG’s Because my drawings won’t be nearly as good as yours!
Whenever people ask why LGBTQ+ people are still being vocal about our rights - because we don't have all of them and we can lose them with the decision of a judge.
Such a great question! I can’t pick just one because I needed several...sea change-beck, the bends-Radiohead, a rush of blood to the head-Coldplay, summer sun-yo la ten go...and before every exam I would loudly listen to a live version of Morning Dew from some dead show in ‘74.
PEA arrest is a synonym for massive hypotension. Because of the confusion associated with the term "PEA," it should no longer ever be used, and instead people should say that a patient had "massive hypotension with no palpable pulse."
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
@almostdr_obrien (1/2) Interviewing for a job several years ago, I was asked if I had a wife or girlfriend six times in my first 90 minutes. I simply answered no. Not much later in the day l heard some homophobic joke. Was asked again and said, “is it going to be a problem for anyone if I’m gay?”
I promised when I got on Twitter I would only participate in the sharing of medical knowledge.... I just can’t keep that promise...This is criminal! This should be prosecuted. My specialty is about preventing sudden death. We need to prevent this from ever happening again!
